Small Bricks, Big Ideas: A LEGO Serious Play Workshop in Šećerana (Croatia)

Understanding ourselves is an important step towards understanding others and becoming active contributors to our communities.

Through the LEGO Serious Play workshop in Šećerana, young people used creativity and hands-on learning to explore their personal strengths, values and ideas about the communities they want to live in. By building individual and shared LEGO models, participants had the opportunity to express their thoughts in a different way, reflect on their experiences and discover new perspectives from one another.

The workshop encouraged participants to think about the connection between personal development and community building. Through storytelling, discussion and collaborative activities, young people explored what makes a community supportive, inclusive and engaging, as well as how each individual can contribute to creating positive change.

Beyond the creative process itself, the activity provided a safe and inspiring space for young people to communicate, listen to different viewpoints and strengthen connections with others. The LEGO Serious Play method helped transform ideas into visible creations, making it easier for participants to share their visions and work together towards common goals.
