First Partner Meeting of the NextGen Project Held in Norway

At the end of October, the first partner meeting of the international project NextGen was successfully held in Norway, marking the beginning of a joint journey dedicated to creating new opportunities for young people living in rural and mostly isolated communities.

The vision of the NextGen project is to support young people in becoming active co-creators of their own future and of the communities they live in. The project focuses on young people who often face limited access to opportunities, services, youth spaces and forms of participation due to geographical distance or social isolation.

During the first partner meeting, project partners discussed the main goals, upcoming activities and shared responsibilities within the project. A particular focus was placed on the first phase of the project, which will include the development of a methodology for mobile support aimed at strengthening active youth participation in rural communities.

Through this approach, the project will explore how to bring support, learning opportunities and participatory activities closer to young people, especially in communities where such opportunities are not always easily accessible.

Together, the partners will work on creating spaces, tools and processes that encourage young people to express their ideas, develop their skills, participate in community life and take an active role in shaping positive change.

The first meeting in Norway provided an important foundation for future cooperation and confirmed the shared commitment of all partners to building more inclusive, connected and youth-friendly communities.

NextGen is about opening space for young people — especially those living in rural and isolated areas — to be seen, heard and supported as active participants in society.
